Cegid connector

Cegid was created in 1983 by Jean-Michel Aulas, at the time of the new chart of accounts, Cegid innovates by offering accountants management software that is simple to implement, directly installed on their microcomputer.

The close partnership thus initiated with the accounting profession will very quickly allow Cegid to also win the trust of their clients, small and medium-sized companies, often with little or no equipment.

The wide distribution of Cegid management software packages and Prestashop, Magento, Shopify and Woocommerce e-Commerce platforms led us to develop an initial configuration of exchanges between ERP and E-commerce CMS:

– Sending the Cegid article catalog to Prestashop, Magento, Shopify or Woocommerce, the “keystone” of identification of an article being its reference, both in Cegid and in Prestashop, Magento, Shopify and Woocommerce. The items extracted from Cegid to feed Prestashop, Magento, Shopify and Woocommerce are described by the reference, the designation, the base price, the identification of the VAT (in correspondence between Cegid and Prestashop, Magento, Shopify or Woocommerce), the weight, the available stock (either physical stock or forward stock, on a given deposit or by aggregation of all deposits).

– Recovery of customers who have placed an order on the Prestashop, Magento, Shopify or Woocommerce site, either by attaching the different delivery addresses to a single generic web client in Cegid, or by creating a customer in Cegid for each new customer in Prestashop, Magento, Shopify or Woocommerce (separate identifier in Prestashop, Magento, Shopify and Woocommerce).

– Recovery of orders registered on the Prestashop, Magento, Shopify or Woocommerce site, including header information (customer contact details in particular), details of order lines in association with the reference of the article, information on the amount of shipping costs and the possible use of a voucher. This last information (shipping costs and discount vouchers) is retrieved in the form of a specific item line.

– Sending Prestashop, Magento, Shopify or Woocommerce an acknowledgment of receipt of orders correctly integrated into Cegid, so that at the next extraction of orders from Cegid, only those that have not already been integrated into Cegid are extracted.

In addition to this initial configuration of the Cegid connector <-> Prestashop, Magento, Shopify and Woocommerce, other flows can be made with Open Flux, especially in terms of prices, variations, resource files (images, documents, etc …), taking into account payment methods and integration of regulations, interfaces with other solutions such as logisticians or label publishers, etc …
