Microsoft Dynamics connector

Microsoft Dynamics is a range of enterprise management software packages designed by Microsoft.

This range is the successor to the former family of software for business management, Microsoft Business Solutions. Microsoft Dynamics combines a CRM (Microsoft Dynamics CRM) and a powerful, easy-to-use, and quick to deploy ERP (Microsoft Dynamics NAV). Microsoft CRM has been around since 2003. The solution has changed enormously over the years with the arrival of a Cloud solution in 2013 with Microsoft Dynamics CRM 2013 Online. Microsoft Dynamics NAV is a enterprise resource planning (ERP), a component of Microsoft Dynamics, designed for international SMEs and subsidiaries of large groups. It allows you to manage all the company’s processes: commerce & marketing, purchasing, production, logistics and distribution, project management, customer services, financial management. There are now more than 100,000 installations of Microsoft Dynamics NAV and more than one million users worldwide.

The wide distribution of Microsoft Dynamics management software packages and Prestashop, Magento, Shopify and Woocommerce e-Commerce platforms led us to develop an initial configuration of exchanges between the software package and E-commerce CMS:

– Sending the Microsoft Dynamics item catalog to Prestashop, Magento, Shopify or Woocommerce, the “keystone” of identification of an item being its reference, both in Microsoft Dynamics and in Prestashop, Magento, Shopify and Woocommerce. The items extracted from Microsoft Dynamics to feed Prestashop, Magento, Shopify and Woocommerce are described by the reference, designation, base price, VAT identification (in correspondence between Microsoft Dynamics and Prestashop, Magento, Shopify or Woocommerce), weight, available stock (either physical stock or forward stock, on a given deposit or by totalization of all deposits).

– Recovery of customers who have placed an order on the Prestashop, Magento, Shopify or Woocommerce site, either by linking the different delivery addresses to a single generic web client in Microsoft Dynamics, or by creating a customer in Microsoft Dynamics for each new customer in Prestashop, Magento, Shopify or Woocommerce (separate identifier in Prestashop, Magento, Shopify and Woocommerce).

– Recovery of orders registered on the Prestashop, Magento, Shopify or Woocommerce site, including header information (customer contact details in particular), details of order lines in association with the reference of the article, information on the amount of shipping costs and the possible use of a voucher. This last information (shipping costs and discount vouchers) is retrieved in the form of a specific item line.

– Sending Prestashop, Magento, Shopify or Woocommerce an acknowledgment of receipt of orders correctly integrated into Microsoft Dynamics so that at the next extraction of orders from Microsoft Dynamics, only those that have not already been integrated into Microsoft Dynamics are extracted.

In addition to this initial configuration of the Microsoft Dynamics connector <-> Prestashop, Magento, Shopify and Woocommerce, other flows can be made with Open Flux, especially in terms of prices, variations, resource files (images, documents, etc …), taking into account payment methods and integration of regulations, interfaces with other solutions such as logisticians or label publishers, etc …
